Blackpool is the most popular tourist destination in the United Kingdom. It is located on the North West coast to the East or Ireland. It really grew into a holiday destination in Victorian times, and became so popular that 3 piers were built to cope with all the visitors. It was in the late 1800 that what is now known as the Pleasure Beach started, the Blackpool Tower was constructed and in the early 1900 Stanley Park was built. Blackpool grew and grew and is said to now have more accommodation than the whole or Portugal. Blackpool's attractions have something for all the family and something for all tastes. For the children the Sandcastle water park is a great day out with the duelling dragons, Master Blaster, Bongo Bongo, and the sidewinder it will keep everyone happy for hours.
