Make Money Online - Get The Basics Right First

If you have been online for more than a few days I am sure you've been tempted by the adverts for those programs that guarantee you a millionaire lifestyle. You know the ones with the Villas, Yachts and Ferrari's. Tempting aren't they but I am sure you've thought that they are too good to be true, you are right. The only people getting rich is the creator and maybe a small percentage of his affiliates.

If only internet marketing was as easy as the adverts make out we would all be rich. However this is not the case Internet Marketing is just like any other job you need to learn the basics first before moving onto the big stuff. Even if you get an honest recommendation for a product that has made a lot of money for someone else , it doesn't mean to say it will make any money for you. There are too many variables involved , for example do you have the necessary experience to use it to the it full potential?

Can you remember what happened when you started to learn to ride a bike? Did your parents buy you a Lance Armstrong replica race bike or a small bike with training wheels? I am prepared to bet it was the latter! Why do you think that was? Obviously because they realized that you needed to learn how to ride a simple bike first before you moved on to better and faster bikes.

What would have happened if you had ridden that race bike first of all? You'd have probably fallen off 10 times in the first hour. If you'd survived that you'd probably have vowed never to ride a bike again. Internet marketing is exactly the same. Make too many mistakes early on and you'll soon feel like giving up.

Thats the end of the negative stuff! Now lets see how you should start your internet marketing career.

You are going to have to get the basics right before you start. Do some research into what other people are doing, learn about niches and keywords. When you are ready to start create a plan of action. I know you'll be keen to get started but build a firm foundation first. Don't forget the story of the 3 little pigs! Persevere and soon you'll start to see your income increase.

It is important to try to resist the temptation to buy every tool you see recommended. I've had loads of people ask me what they should do with the tools they bought. If you don't know exactly what you will use a tool for them don't buy it! There are hundreds of free tools available online make use of these to start with. The more money you save the greater your profit will be.
